Yves Meyer
Yves F. Meyer (born July 19, 1939) is a French mathematician and scientist and a foremost expert on wavelets.
Biography
Meyer was a professor at the Paris Dauphine University, at École Polytechnique (1980–1986) and currently holds a position as Professor Emeritus at the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan.[1]

Awards and recognitions
Meyer is a member of the Académie des Sciences since 1993.[2] In 2010 he was awarded the Carl Friedrich Gauss Prize.[1]
